These pictures of Mattaja were taken in about April of 2002. She was about 5 months old and I shot an entire roll of film of her playing on the bed - she was so cute! I found this quote somewhere and it really struck a chord with me. We tried for SO LONG to get pregnant, and suffered a lot of pain and heartach getting there. It was a very difficult pregnancy and so much happened in our family during that time. But then, there she was - smiling at me from the very beginning! Her name, Mattaja (pronounced Matt-tay-ya) is Hebrew and means "Gift of God". I loved putting this layout together.
