She certainly looks like she is having a LOT of fun!!! I love how the colors of this lo worked out for you. I can't resist an orange page...just seems to be my favorite!!!
Gorgeous! Love those brushes and the orange pp is perfect with this darling photo! Great title too. And, I just adore the way you used that frame to dot the i. Waaay cool!
Oooo! Looove the color choices! I am so glad you got to use the brush, and so soon! My goodness! 104 degrees! Your title work just *kills* me girl! the way you connected the i to the frame brush! AWESOME. would it be biased if i put this in my faves? heehee!
I think the orange turned out really well, especially with the red. Leiks, I am loving your brushes. You did a great job using them Amanda. I like how you framed the pic. She looks like she is having so much fun.
ohh. i have looked for that font forever - - dooo tell!! and ehemmm leiks - those brushes are HOT!!
ok - now on to little miss and her cute self!!! I laugh - slip and slide - they are a summer necessity arent they! now i soooo love how creatively you used the shape defining brush - to frame the photo - COOL idea, there!!! love the pp & it is a perfect fit - the page is perfectly put together!!!
Hannibal Lecter font? Whoa - where did you get that? This lo is so pretty and summery with the orange and red. Believe it or not it gets that hot here in Minnesota in the summertime, like today. I couldn't handle it out there this morning running my sister's garage sale so I left and took my babies home to the air conditioning! I don't know why I wore makeup because it did melt off my face. Glad that you guys founds a way to keep cool. Alyssa is darn cute in that little bikini!!! he he he
oohh that color is just perfect!! and I love the way you used that d.d brush!! Leiks you better give it up.. I am wanting your fab brushes!! where can I buy them??.. Amanda you used them to perfection!! what a fun picture and wow that kind of heat is so not for me! lol.. I would melt hehe
ok... had to get in at least one scrapbook page. had new pictures, new brushes (compliments of Leiks... love these things, girl!!!) and less than an hour before alyssa wakes up from her nap. not sure at all why i chose this paper... it doesn't match the picture at all. But when i pulled the color from the red side of the slip-n-slide, it came out a really pinky red... which i LOVED against this pale orange paper. i tried to alter the color of the yellow in the photo, but believe it or not, this still looked better. hmmm... oh well... it makes me feel happy, so i guess that's all that matters. the title, obviously inspired by the ridiculous, intense heat that surrounded us yesterday (and today). i liked the title with this photo because she just looks intense in playing with this water. so cute. =)
JOURNALING: Memphis summer heat. It's an acquired (*typo fixed) taste. It's muggy. It's humid. It's always hotter than it seems. Today, for instance. It was only 94 degrees outside... yet the heat index was 104. These kinds of intense conditions (that can actually start as early as April) require a little creativity to enjoy the outdoors. Therefore, the "annual slip-n-slide purchase" has become an honored tradition. It has provided hours of fun and relief from the heat and never seems to lose its appeal. I'm so thrilled that you seem to enjoy it just as much as your predecessors. It's gonna be a long, hot summer, baby... so jump in and have fun. We will make the best of it.
