Wonderful! I love the photographs that you rescanned and all the details you know. Your use of the CI paper & all of the distressing you have done is spot on.
Susan, this LO is fabulous, I LOVE heritage pages and after looking at yours, I think I'm going to scan the few photos I have to make some LO with them. You chose the best design and colors for this one, WTG!!
What an amazing heritage piece. You chose all the right papers and great job on scanning to photos and breathing some life back into them - they turned out great (but then you are a photoshop wizard). Thank goodness they moved to Florida.
Beautiful! Those papers are absolutely perfect for the photos and time period. Great old photos. We are all so lucky to have these. This is a wonderful heritage page!!
Wow! How wonderful that you were able to 'restore' these photos! I love how you designed this page, and the monogram and journaling are really FABULOUS!!! Great job!
What a great tribute. Love this heritage page with the interesting family pictures. I love those MM pewter brads and how you tucked the journaling into the big "G".
This is simply fabulous! I so enjoy getting a notification that you've posted something. You have such talent in so many different styles. I love this one especially.
Great family heritage here!! Love your choice of pps and the fact that you kept it pretty simple to allow the pictures and journaling take center stage!! A beautiful heritage LO!!
My DH's Grandfather...photo taken sometime during WWI. (1914-1918). Journaling reads: Grandpa Goetter was born in Germany and served in the German Army during World War I (1914-1918). These pictures were taken sometime during the war – I don’t know the exact year. These are scanned copies of the originals (which were in very bad shape). In the picture (with the other German soldiers) Grandpa Goetter is the one with the cane. He sustained war related injuries in the hand and thigh from a machine gun. After the war was over, Herman immigrated to the United States with his wife, Paula Louise, and sons Herman, Jr., and Manfred. They arrived at Ellis Island on the (ship) Hannover on June 6, 1923. From there they moved to Knoxville, Tennessee. After several years in Knoxville, the family moved to Pensacola, Florida.
