I totally went through this too when my son got hand, foot, and mouth disease- it sounds terrible but it is just a virus that causes a welt-like rash. the amazing part is the rash doesn't itch or hurt them except in the mouth a little. I was glad we were able to get into to see the doctor quickly and that he quickly figured it out. I guess it is very very common... of course- I hadn't heard of it before but almost everyone I talked to with kids had heard of it. :)
Love your journaling and the photo. Great way to record it!
Poor babe! I know ALL about allergic reactions. I'm allergic to everything, so I'm glad that it wasn't that for her. But a virus? What kind of virus causes welts? Anywho, love the pic and the "ER" is SOOOO amazing! I just love your designs, girl. I truly do.
Glad she is okay! I am with you on allergic reactions! They are pretty scary. I had a reaction to penicillin when I was little and swelled so bad I had to wear my sisters clothes. She is 2 1/2 years older than me. Back to the lo, LOVE the way you cropped the pic and did the ER thing. And the grids in the bg is awesome!
Awwww.... hope everything is all better now. This layout is so great, even tho the circumstances were not. Love your journaling and the colors here. And darn that nurse! Geez!
I love this lo!! The close up on the bracelet is an awsome idea!! You're lucky to stay out of the hospital that long!! My little girl's been there a few time for minor things and she's only 1!
ohhh - hope she is doing better! poor thing its never easy on us or them! now seriously i love the layout - ER in green thats HOT~! and i want that font - so glad you posted - off to look!
gosh! i hope she's ok now. i hope i'll never have a trip at the ER. ill just don't know what to do. anyways, the ER title just so fits this layout.and those grid lines is a perfect touch. nice job!
wow.. how scary is that! I hope everything is ok now? Poor baby.. Love how you made the ER just like the series.. LOVE your titlework, the detailed picture and that grid looks PERFECT here! great job girl!
Well, today is happened. Should have known it would be coming soon. The first trip to the ER. JOURNALING: The first and what I hope to be the last. You are over 3 years old and you have never had an allergic reaction to anything. So imagine my surprise and horror when you got up from your nap and was covered in welps the size of my hand. All over your body. your face, your neck, your arm - your legs were the worst. Completely covered. So we promptly went to the hospital because I thought the unusual bite mark on your neck had just revealed its consequence. As it turned out it was simply a virus that produces hives. With a 102 fever the fear of an allergic reaction was set aside. Call me paranoid or over protective, but when it comes to the possibility of allergic reactions I don’t take that lightly. Overall the experience was memorable, especially when momma busted the nurse chatting in the hallway with friends and holding your dose of benadryl in her hand, of which we had been waiting 20 minutes for. You can only imagine my reaction when she tells me that she got involved in a conversation - “It was good!” DO WHAT?! Oh no. I don’t think so. Nothing comes between a momma, her baby and the medicine she is in need of, especially in the ER. I’ll be taking care of this. And I’ll take care of you.
