Did this start out as a paper mache box? Was the side of the lid already brown or did you do that? It looks great!

I gave these to my son's preschool teachers at the end of the school year and they loved them! I used my paper shredder to shred coordinating colored cardstock and used the shreds as the "fluff" inside the box and we included a nice note on the inside.
