Sue this is such a beautiful album and even though you know little of that time in their lives it flows well and the photos tell us that they were so happy, it is sad your Mum died so early but the album will keep the both of them alive in your family for years to come. Suzie xx
Awwwwww honey I am so sorry for the loss of your parents, your journalling brought a big lump to my throat, I can only imagine how you feel, looking at these beautiful photos and not knowiung anything about them (((((hugs ))))), gorgeous work for the challenge TFS :)
The journaling is so touching and heartfelt- I'm so sorry you didn't have more to go on with this album, but you did and EXCEPTIONAL job!!!! What a fabulous, beautiful piece of history your family can treasure!!!
Oh my, your journaling is so well written. Sad story but... you have the photo's and that must bring you some comfort. I lost my Mom in 1999, and just about everyday I think " I should call Mom and tell her that, or I think that she would like to know something" I have even had the phone in my hand and then remember that she is gone! it doesn't seem real to me even now. Mom's are so special that way. wtg :)
Sue, what beautiful journaling to go with your album. This must have been so hard for you to complete, and it has turned out gloriously!! Congratulations on being able to create something so beautiful in your parent's memory!
This is lovely yet sad...I can imagine it's hard not having the background to go with the pictures. However the LO's are beautiful, I bet they would have loved them. TFS!!!
This is the journaling for the How sweet It is layout:
My Parents Wedding My parents were married on April 21, 1951. My mother died in 1967, my father died in 1985. I had never even seen my parents wedding photos until last year. How very sad, not just that I had never seen these before, but also the fact that I have no history, no stories, no feelings, and no one to ask about their wedding. I would love to have talked to my parents, especially my mom and ask her about this time in her life. So now over 50 years later – I will attempt to scrap my parent’s photos. They are so young in these pictures, and so hopeful and so much in love. I am twice their age and yet ‘something’ is still missing. So it is with a sense of melancholy that I begin this bittersweet endeavor.
