My Parents Wedding
My parents were married on April 21, 1951. My mother died in 1967, my father died in 1985. I had never even seen my parents wedding photos until last year. How very sad, not just that I had never seen these before, but also the fact that I have no history, no stories, no feelings, and no one to ask about their wedding. I would love to have talked to my parents, especially my mom and ask her about this time in her life. So now over 50 years later – I will attempt to scrap my parent’s photos. They are so young in these pictures, and so hopeful and so much in love. I am twice their age and yet ‘something’ is still missing. So it is with a sense of melancholy that I begin this bittersweet endeavor.
