This is for the June Doodle Challenge with a Twist. The layout is for my hubby's babybook. I love this K&Co Kazoo Kids paper that looks like retro board books. I drew the large book for the title on the back of more Kazoo Kids paper (one with a more subtle pattern). I cut out the book and inked the edges black. The book-themed paper, the red letter-themed paper and the red photo mats were sanded for depth. I included the little retro car tag, because the photos were taken at a stop on a family road trip. The dotted background paper is from Basic Grey's Sublime collection. I hand drew the books in the lower corners and the flourishes that are around the books. I thought it would look like wonder, imagination, creativity and knowledge coming from the books. :) My mother-in-law was a Teacher, so her boys were always encouraged to read.
