Journaling Reads: "Blake, one of your recent discoveries is this bug toy that I pulled out of the baby toys. You had quite a time acting out finding and squishing this toy bug. First you would pretend to hide up the stairs, then, peeking around the corner you would “suddenly” notice the “bug,” and jump down on it and yell as loud as you could “Got you, buuuuuug!” I laughed like crazy the first time I saw you act this out, which of course gave you just enough encouragement to act it out again and again that day. I love that you were my little bug slayer for a while Blake, squishing anything that dared move in order to protect me. The only sad part of this story was that not too long ago you were bit by fire ants which pretty much ended your over eager approach to pest control. Now, like Ty, whenever you see a bug you come running to tell me, so that I can protect you. And I suppose that at least at this age, me protecting you is how it is supposed to be! –-Spring 2007"
