ooohhhh---this is sooo cute. what a little doll that hannah is. love the bear, the thought, and the pix, and the adorable, endearing story. great layout!!!
Soooooo sweet!!!! What a wonderful sister to be so concerned for the new baby! Precious memory you have captured, and beautiful pictures to cherish as well!
This is one of the sweetest things ever!!! I love that Hannah made the bear for her sister and that you scrapped it!!!!! Such a wonderful memory to scrap and remember forever!!! Great job!!!!
Love the framing on those pics and what a difference a few years makes. Instead of stomping on her head, she is making a special bear:). What a sweetheart. Katy is beautiful!
Cute! I was wondering about that picture of MaKaty with the Care Bear when I saw it on your blog! What a sweet story! Love how you saved the original drawing.
oh wow!!! This is awesome, Megan!! Seriously... I'm in love with this layout! Hannah is such a sweetheart and such a great big sister... I love your journaling, the pics are beautiful, and everything is just perfect!
journaling reads: It was all Hannah’s idea. You were three days old. I was sitting on the couch in a sleep deprived fog and nursing you. Hannah emerged from the kitchen where she had been coloring and asked, “Mom, where is MaKaty’s special bear?” I told Hannah that you didn’t have a special bear, and she disappeared again. A few minutes later, she returned with a scrap of paper, which she promptly tucked under your sleeping arm. At closer look, the paper was actually a pink and blue teddy bear, drawn by Hannah and carefully cut out with deco scissors. She had made you your very own “special bear.” But it quickly became obvious that your “special bear” would not survive the day (hence the taped leg), so I proposed to Hannah that we go to the store and buy you a real bear. Here is the one she picked out. Smart Heart Bear. A lovely shade of pink with an apple on her belly. I hope that you will keep her always. And I have included the original “special bear” here, so you can love it, too. You will surely grow up and give your teddy bear your own name, but for now I have dubbed it simply “Special” because to me that is what she is. A symbol of your sister’s love and concern for you. Everyone needs a “Special” bear.** the bear is actually the original drawing by my dd...the tags in the bottom left corner read "for you" "from Hannah" and the tag from the "real" bear is included. thanks for looking!
