Page telling the story about the reason behind my daughter's name. ____Journaling: When I was 12 years old I read a book called “Just a Little Bit Lost” by laurel Trivelpiece. The main character’s name was Bennet- named after Elizabeth Bennet, one of Jane Austen’s most endearing heroines. This led me to read Pride & Prejudice and fall in love with the book, and the name. I even wrote the name in my poetry journal at age 14 at the top of the list of future child names.

Pride & Prejudice is one of those stories that I can read or watch over & over. Ms. Bennet. She is well read and quick-witted, with a tongue that occasionally proves too sharp for her own good. She is strong, independent and refuses to give up or be pushed into anything by someone else.

We don’t expect you to be these things, just simple to be your own person. And people may say, ‘Bennet? That’s a boy’s name’ But know that your name is in honor of a strong, well-loved female character from one of your mom’s favorite novels.

Leona Kline is your Great-Grandmother. She is your Grandma Trunnell’s mom. She Too is an amazing woman. I’m so glad that she got the chance to meet you. _________________
