Awww..this is really a heartwarming layout. Super sweet! Put a lump in my throat. Aside from that the design is so unique and I love how you stitched. Amazing.
Estee, this is beautiful. It's so wonderful your children have these pages to remind them of how much she loves them! Gorgeous hand stitching...I have yet to try it out!! (Any advice?!)
oh Estee... this really touches my heart. So sad, yet so beautiful and hard warming. Yes, she loves... and it's obvious the feeling is mutual. Thank you for sharing with us something so personal and beautiful.
Just beautiful...I lost my Grandfather to Alzheimer's, so I really understand this LO. I perfer to hand stitch my LOs too. So, I have a good idea how many hours you have in this LO. Great Job!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW! I bet it took you a really long time to hand stitch this all! But it's so worth it because I know how therapeutic it can be - - and just look at the end result! It's so precious!
Oh my! This page is just beautiful. The b/w photos and the colours you have used are just beautiful. I really like the symbolism of the blue line among the brown - (you are a champ for doing all that handstitching - and on paper!)
Estee-- This is a beautiful layout! I can't believe that you stitched all of this by hand!!!! I would never in a million years get stitching by hand that straight! :-)
Goregeous. Love the stitching. The hand stitching adds a lot to the pages - a nice thick stitch! The lo will be a great memory for your kids in the future!
WOW!! You handstitched that? You go girl. I thought for sure it was done on machine. I just love this layout. It is something close to my heart having a grandfather who had Alzheimer's. This is definitely going into my favs. Thank you.
i just love those stitches, i cannot wait until i get my sewing machine fixed so i can do things like that. i love the journaling, its so pretty, great job =)
Beautiful lo and lovely journalling. i didn't realise the stitching was by hand, it is so neat. i tried stitching on the machine once and broke the needle!1 Haven't tried since.
Estee, this is so amazing!!! Love the design here and the heartfelt journaling and photos. Makes me want to call my grandma. And that stitching is awesomely amazing! I am so going to have to lift it!
I think it's beautiful! Being a busy Mom it's always good to find things that make you sit back and relax. Besides, the little ones don't always want to be held when Mommy's got a needle and thread! lol
Estee this is a fantastic page! I love the design and your stitching is fantastic....when I hand stitch it takes me forever = so I can only imagine how long this tooK! :D
This is a fantastic page - the hand stitching is amazing. It must have taken days. The journalling is beautiful and so is the lady you are honouring! Into my faves!
I can't believe you do that by hand, Estee....AWESOME! And I totally love this page!! Great job!! Paizlee is getting so big!!! And Maddux is so freaking cute!!!
I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother. Your journaling is so perfect as is EVERY aspect of this incredible lo. your stitching is just wow. TFS this wonderful, heartfelt lo.
Alzheimer's Disease is a terrible, terrible thing. It has robbed my grandmother of many memories and the ability to accomplish many of the every day tasks that she once did without fail. The one thing that Alzheimer's Disease will never take away from Nan is the ability to love. She loves to give hugs and to snuggle with my kids. She has never failed to say, "I love you" before I hang up the phone or before I drive away. I hope that this is the thing that my kids remember about her, that she loved them unconditionally.
I have also decided that I like sewing by hand. It is a huge catharsis to sit and stitch on my pages. I will not, however, admit to how many hours it took me to hand stitch all of this! :) Thanks for looking!! Estee
