8.5x11. For the heartwarming category of the Lucky 7 contest. I made the large letters with my Wishblade. I triple layered the letters for thickness. The squares I made with punches. I used the Shape Cutter for the circles. Crop-A-Dile for the holes for the square brads. I stamped the letters for his name on the brads in the circle. Printed the following onto vellum:

I wrote the following to a layout that I uploaded to www.scrapbook.com about the same time this photo was taken (February, 2006). It was for the layout, “Don’t Dream It’s Over” about when my daughter told me she was pregnant.

This was a hard page for me to do. I didn't have to do it at all. There wasn't even a picture or scrappable memento to go with it.
But I felt it was necessary. It was important. Though something none of us are proud of, it happened. As heartbreaking as it was then, I knew it was an important moment. Looking back at it after more than 2 years, I can see how God worked in all of us and our circumstances.
Yes, many times I cried out to God, "WHY?!" And all I kept hearing back from Him was "wait and see." Patience wasn't a strong suit then nor now.
But now I can't even describe the love I feel for my grandson. Which won't be hard for any of you who has grandchildren to understand but can you imagine the love I feel for my son-in-law? (February, 2005) Through lots and lots of pray, God put my heart in the right place where this situation was concerned. God has placed such love in my heart for him, even I am overwhelmed at times by it. SIL didn't want to live too close to us then, this month he'll be moving next door and actually looking forward to it. :) We're all excited.

Now more than a year later, I’ve finally scrapbooked this photo. I feel it’s time to put this into our actual family album. The husband of my daughter, the father of my grandsons, my son, Mike.
