This is my precious Mama when she was in her early twenties. The hidden journaling in the little book on the right hand side reads: When I look at this picture of Mama, I find myself thinkng of when I was about the same age as her, in this picture. I wonder what she was thinking? Did she wonder about life and her future, the same way I did? .... "Will I fall in love? Will our love be real....real enough to committ to a lifetime together? What will our life be like? Will we be blessed with a family? Will we be happy? Will I be a good mother? Will we have many trials and heartaches?" All of these questions she must have thought about, the same way I did. The answer to all of the questions was yes.....for she loved my father dearly, and they were completely dedicated to each other. They were married almost sixty-five years when she passed away. They were blessed with six daughters, and their family grew through the years to include sons in laws, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and even great, great grandchildren. They had their share of heartaches and trials, but through it all, they lived their lives as Christian examples for us. She was a wonderful Mother, with hands that soothed, hugs that warmed, and words that encouraged. My prayer for my life, is to live my life the way she lived hers...with faith, hope, and most of all, with love.
