This is Princess Jessie. She is my BIL's dog and she is almost 17 years old. When these photos were taken she was a working dog. She loved to hunt, go for rides in the car, and do "the Jessie dance" which was basically her wiggling her butt around and tippy-toeing in order to get attention.
Unfortunately, she was just diagnosed w/an inoperable cancerous tumor in her throat. She has started losing a lot of weight (she's down to 30lbs), is very weak, and is suffering with arthritis.
Today my BIL scheduled an appointment with the vet for Monday. Jessie is going to be euthanized. It will be a hard day for all of us but my BIL knows it's the right thing to do.
He has spent extra time w/her during the last week and has given her everything a dog could want.. steak, ice cream, cheese, McDonald's. She will be greatly missed.
