this page is about a funny conversation we had. The journaling explains it:
One of my favorite things about summer is that we have time to have real conversations. Sometimes we have a conversation that says so much about the way you think, what you believe, and our life, The other day we had one of those conversation when Sarah started talking about driving when she turns 16 (thankfully a long way off). It went like this:
Sarah: When I’m 16 I can drive. Me: We will see – you really have to learn to focus. Sarah: Well if you don’t let me when I am 16, I will when I’m 18. Sam: Only if Mommy lets you Sarah. Sarah: No Sam when you are 18 you can do whatever you want. You can even move out. Sam: Mommy is that true!? Me: Yes Sam. When you are 18 you are legally an adult and responsible for your own decisions. Sam: Well Sarah if you are in college mommy will be paying for it and you will still have to listen to her, and if you are not in college you won’t have any money to move out! Sarah: Hmmmm…
