Wow! Beautiful L/O!! Love the story behind the rocks on the house! It is a beautiful house too! I also love how the title pops off the page! Great job!!
oh, these pics are soo pretty... I would love to see he rock wall!! how cool it that!!! What a cool place to live. Did you make your pp... the top looks like it could be watermarked and the home stamped.. either way.. very cute. I really like the clean look to this lo the lines are simples and very nice and the title is very eye catching.. great job!
I like the strip in the middle with "Home" all over, and how La Mirada is overlaid on it. It really brings the concepts together, showing how La Mirada is home.
Girl, this is an awesome job! What fantastic photos you took for this and well.. wow! The title is fantastic and the paper is awesome - did you stamp it yourself? And I love the numbered picture idea!
This LO is for the "get to know you" challenge with the Eiffel Tower Gallery/Support Group (about where we live). Since I couldn't find another coordinating paper that I liked, I decided to try something new and hand stamped the center section of my cardstock (home). Guess what, I liked it! :D
Journaling for these photos reads, "The View" of La Mirada - La Mirada means "the view" in Spanish. I have lived here for most of my life. This is a quick view of La Mirada as it appears today, July 7, 2007, through my eyes. 1. My parents bought this home in 1956. My father added on a large entryway and dining room. He also built a rock wall around the entire property, as well as a rock patio. He collected the rocks from all over California and it took him nearly 8 years to complete it. 2. This is a photo of the lake at La Mirada Regional Park. The lake is home to many ducks, and once a year a fishing derby is held here. The park is well known in the area for a large Frisbee golf course. The park also houses the City Hall, Public Library, Senior Center, Community Gymnasium, Sheriff's Sub Station and a water park is currently under construction. 3. This is Olive Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery where my mother is buried. It is located on the Southwest corner of La Mirada Regional Park. The same family has owned and operated the cemetery for over 100 years.
