Did you use your flash? If you did sometimes you have to get closer because the flash on some digital cameras are weak. Just a suggestion?

Black is fine, it blots out the clutter and makes the main person stand out.

Gym's are so hard to take photos in! I think it turned out not that bad (Mine are usually black) I have a setting to slow the flash down and that seems to help.

I took this yesterday at Addison's gymnastics class. I need to figure out the lighting because all of the pictures I take there come out like this--dark!
