Christopher Columbus Peters was born and raised in the Stoney Creek section of Carter Co Tn. After he married he moved to the other side of the Mountain to Sullivan co Tn. to the Big Creek Area. It was told that he owned a Silver mine in The Holston mountains and that everytime he killed a deer he put a piece of sliver on his gun well there is definately pieces of something on the gun in this picture. it is said that when he died he took the locaton of his mine with him and no one was ever able to find it. He live 98 yrs old and his obituary said that one week before he died he killed a bird with his naked eye 500 yrds away. My grandmother who was a child when he died said that seconds before he died he pointed straight up and said Im coming and then died. Many of his decendants still live in Carter and Sullivan Co Tn. Chrisleys Married Elizabeth Betsy Royston Chrisleys parents were James Peters 1977-1832 and Amelia Ward 1777-1860s who was said to be related to the Indian Princess Nancy Ward. His Grandfather was Christopher Peters who was born in Shandoah Va around 1750 and settled in Carter Co. His father was the immigrant John Peters b in germany aroumd 1732
