I would like to have seen you wrangling that twine! I like the nautical details you came up with. I like the little painted wooden shapes and metalicizing the anchors looks good too. David looks so little and cute in his lifevest! lib

Memorial Day p. 1

Memorial Day on Uncle's boat.
I printed the title on woodgrain paper, then colored the anchors on the letters with silver gel marker to look metallic. For the 2001 I just wrote with glue on velum and wrangled the twine into place, then cut it out and stuck on page. The anchor thingy was just from playing around with a sticker and scraps from my matting. The wooden boat and Captain's wheel (p.2) were pre-painted.
