My hubby is a big NASCAR fan - and was a huge Dale Earnhardt fan. The two photos on top are from our day at Michigan Speedway, in 2000. Bottom photo just shows some of our NASCAR souvenirs & keepsakes.
Journaling reads: My very first live NASCAR race -and wow! You just can't quite imagine the excitement when you see it on TV. There's just this incredible energy at the race track - you can't help but jump up and down and get involved! Given our crowd-phobia, we opted for the Busch race, instead of the more popular Winston Cup, but we did get to see the Winston Cup practice. It was the first, and sadly the last, time I will ever see Dale Earnhardt, live and in person. We miss you Dale!
