This layout still brings me to tears. The traveling Viet Nam Memorial came here last spring. I just HAD to go!
Journaling reads:
I knew going to the traveling Vietnam Memorial would be emotional, but I wasn't prepared for how emotional!! We didn't even know anyone who served in Nam. We both have many family members who served in WWII and both Gulf Wars.
I was surprised to find tears running down my cheeks before we even reached the wall. A group of people arrived just after us who wore the leather MIA/POW vests and my heart broke. We found Robinson and Newells and did some rubbings. They had a table set for the missing soldier. They also had the Missing but not forgotten wreath. It was a very moving experience. We were both very glad we took the time to go.
