Hi! I only just found you. This layout is awesome!! A great heritage piece. Gee, how long has it been since anyone saw ration stamps or war bonds??? Love this!!
I absolutely love this lay-out. I am VERY interested in doing a heritage album, because I am the person in the family that has all the old photos. This gave me a lot of inspiration!!
this is wonderful. I just finished two Heritage albums and restore my mother's three. Wish I had thought of the old newspaper background. You did a wonderful job!!
LOL great minds think alike... we both used the same paper in opur background and went with the vintage feel. I got that from these supplies as soon as I opened them. Your layout is beautiful!
These are vintage pictures of my family from the 1950's. I used the two different fibers for borders. The Brads are holding one fiber to the black strip. I sewed beads onto the ribbon and used it to hold the War Bonds booklet. The rest of the beads are in the organdy bag, along with the 2 metal rimmed tags. I know you can't quite see the second one, but it's there, behind the other tag. I painted the rims gold, to match, and attached a ration stamp to each one. The bag is my "shaker" box. I used the slide mount on the program from my grandpa's funeral. The safety pins are holding the jewelry tags to each photo and the jump rings to the top of the newspaper article. Oh, I attached the pin to the center of the ribbon knot. And I used the page pebbles on the funeral program to magnify pretty parts of the church picture. I think that's everything. I used K&Co patterned paper and Bazzill Cardstock.
