I had my sixteenth surgery and decided that this particular surgery was like a new beginning for me. As I walked down the corridor of the hospital with the nurse at my side we talked about my "New Beginning". I saw the little gift shop in the short distance ahead of me, begging me to come in for a visit.
The nurse was so kind to help me walk to the store and held onto me as I perused the shop. I decided that this beautiful dragonfly pin held a special meaning for me. I hadn't purchased any of my dragonfly jewelry myself, (yet had quite the collection from my dearest of friends). Today, I would be making this purchase of a "Jennifer Lee" original. It has the colors of my children's' birthdays' including the little girl I lost when my husband and I first married. January, Garnet for Eric, February Amethyst for Noelani Elaine, May, Emerald for Wesley (and Wayne, too!), September, Sapphire for Richard. All the colors are represented, even the traditional Yellow Topaz for November, which is the month of my birth.
