wonderful memories...
...after the photos were taken, you, mimi, and myself went shopping for a birthday outfit for you.it seemed like it took all day to finally found something i liked! it was a cute cream shirt with ducks and green shorts, with a new pair of sandals from baby gap. mimi and i picked that out because we knew granddaddy Buck would really like it since he loved ducks.
uncle owen and aunt linda were in town from california to celebrate your first birthday and along with them, granddaddy buck, rosemary, shannon, mimi, daddy, and myself met at Goten (a japanese restaurant downtown) for dinner. daddy was actually arriving from arizona that night and his flight was late. he was so worried he would miss it, but he was able to catch a ride from someone that was on his flight just in time for the party. it was perfect! i will never forget it- there will never be a gathering quite like that one again, so it holds a very special place in my heart.
