The pattern paper for the train is gift wrap from actual party gifts. This works as a cheap pattern paper plus a touch of nostalgia. The 2nd train car is a peek-a-boo window. The idea came from a book I love called Making a Wonderful Scarpbook Pages It's Easier Than You Think and this idea was submitted by Katie Hacker
