Otto's House - 1

(this is NOT the main house!! he called it "the dollhouse" for reasons I still don't know ;) )

We used to pass this house all the time on our way to our weekend getaway.
One day, my mom decided to knock on the door and see just who lived here.
Well, his name was Otto and he was the most interesting (and eccentric!) gentleman!!

He was 82 when he started fixing up the place and 86 when we met him.

On his property was his house and a whole bunch of other little houses (each one fully furnished!!) and structures and things ... all decorated like this!

He was interviewed in the local paper there and said that most all the materials he found in other people's trash!!

I have a copy of that article I will include in this album.
