Hidden journaling under the picture reads: "It’s amazing how you can go so long without talking to someone and then when they come back into your life it’s like they were never gone. When Greg moved to Texas after high school, we lost touch. I hadn’t spoken to him in three years. All of the sudden he was back in Corunna and so was Parker. They started hanging out and skateboarding together. I was packing my car in August, getting ready to move back to Kalamazoo and Greg and Parker pulled in Mom and Dad’s driveway. Greg and I talked for a few minutes but I had to go. About a month went by, I was lying in bed and my phone rang. “Hi Angie. It’s Greg. I know we haven’t talked in a long time, but I just need someone to talk to. I thought of you.” He called because Jill left him and he didn’t know what to do. We spent hours on the phone, just like we did in high school. We started calling each other every couple of day and I swear it was just like it was all those years ago. We told each other everything. And helped each other so much. I don’t know how he does it, but he always seems to be going through the exact same things that I am. We’ve always been able to help each other through so much.
He met up with some of us at Jumbo’s and was talking to me about Jill. He was obviously upset. I wrapped my arms around him and said, “If it’s any consolation, I will always love you.” He said, “It is Angie. It is.” Betsy just happened to be taking a picture."
