Published in Somerset Memories June/July 2007 issue. This is another layout that I did over a year ago and can finally put online. TFL!

Journaling:
grandma's crayons. there is something so enticing and inspiring about them. i still remember my grandma's big box of crayons. sure it was an old ripped and worn cardboard box. sure the crayons were half broken and all mixed together, some had their wrappers and some didn't. but that isn't what i saw. i saw a box filled with the promise of creative masterpieces. that sea of color inside that old tattered box held endless possibility...that i couldn't wait to dive into. i wonder moya, what do you see in grandma's box of crayons? will you remember them? i hope so!

Ideas: I used the letter stickers as a mask for coloring over with a black crayon to get the reversed title “grandma’s.” I also used the sticker waste around an “m” and scribbled on the c.s. under it with black crayon. I used some crayon wrappers as my flower’s petals.
