This is a scraplift of Brenda Arnall's "Go Away, Rain" published in the September 2007 issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine.
Journaling reads: April 2003: After waiting for 4 months for our house to be put together, the next obstacle would be obtaining running water. At this point we didn't even have a well because the ground was still frozen. During this time, we spent weekends at the house. We would get water from next door so that we could fill the toilets in order to be able to flush them. We showered next door and always used disposable dishes. During this time, I would often lift the faucet handle and imagine the feeling I would have the day that water actually poured from it. I remember thinking one day I would forget that at one time we didn't have running water. I didn't. Near the end of May, we got our well and Jason and Lee hooked it up to the house. I finally got to lift the handle and watch the water flow. We finally had running water.
