Absolutely beautiful LO. So well done and I can feel your heart in it. My family and I had to put down our dog Tipsy in February. I am too emotional yet to scrap a page, as it still makes me cry, but your LO moved me so much. I am sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. Its so hard to lose someone, including pets. I have to do this soon too so I know how hard it was for you to scrap this. I have to give myself some time before I can touch the photos because it is very raw still. You did an awesome job with a really tough issue.

I am so sorry for your loss. This is a beautiful tribute layout. Gorgeous. I understand your feelings right now, we just lost our girl on April 1st. She's been in my life since I was 9 years old. I'd love to be able to make a layout about losing her, but when I start to scrap, I start to cry.

I lost my sweet kitty after 19 years, boy do I know this feeling. I have yet to do a LO after nearly 3 years. It took courage to do this and it turned out beautifully!

I honestly know that pain. I'm very sorry. I had to put my sweet kitty down in Feb this year after having him for 20 years! After that awful and painful time, I found myself digging up old pictures of him to scrap but since then, it has been very hard to do! The lo is absolutely stunning! When we treat them like family, we mourn them as family!

Yeah my eyes are all welled up now too! We are facing this difficult time with our 12 year old Akita and it breaks my heart...animals leave such an imprint on our hearts with their unselfish love. Thank you for sharing and so sorry for your loss!

I truly have tears streaming from my eyes as I read this. We had a wolf/malamute mix that we lost 10 years ago and he is still very much alive in our hearts and a topic at family functions. He was mine and hubbys first child so to speak...and we still love him dearly. It took us until Feb of last year to finally agree to getting a dog. Our children never really knew our Akeyla, and always wanted a dog, but it was too hard for us to think about getting so attached and losing one again. It truly is like losing a family member. My heart is aching for you. Even though it has been almost 2 years...I know that you still grieve. Sensational tribute to your dear Duke.

You did Duke proud with this LO. The expression captured on your face in the pic is says exactly what you were thinking at that moment. Sometimes we have to make that visit to the vet for the sake of the animal - I understand. We were in that position several years back, and it's not an easy one to make.

There is no harder task than to make the decision to put a beloved 4 legged friend down!But when you look in their sweet eyes and can see their pain we know when it's time.I had to put down my cocker spaniel,Gilbert at the age of 16.That was in 1997.I just got another dog last year.I was that reluctant!I didn't want to betray his memory!Our dear babies are irreplaceable!God bless Duke!Your beautiful lo will help to keep his sweet memory alive!I love his big ol' paw print!My deepest sympathy!~Grace

I am going to have to lift this idea. We lost our Bailey after a heart-wrenching battle with mast cell cancer. We knew we were losing her, so I took lots of photos at the end. I held on to her longer than I should have. Your layouts are perfect! So sorry for your loss.

There are NO words to express the love of an animal and their love for you. Scraping is a wonderful way to tell your story. So touching, so personal, so full of expression. God Bless you & I know Duke is waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge where you will be united forever. I have 4 dogs with one 13 right now, who is the love of my life. I rescued her and she thanks every single day. I love her so. Like I said there is nothing to explain that wonderful bond and that kind of love. Anyone who can abuse them...is sick. I know your pain I lost a Rottie of my own...it's hard...on the outside they are strong, fierce and intimidating and on the inside they are soft, tender, compassionate fur babies. The picture here speaks so many things and just looking at it made me cry. My Rottie Cassie has been gone now for 6 years and I still miss her every day. I have two more Rotties now and still see myself missing Cassie. So I know your pain, but day by day the pain is filled with all the wonderful memories of the time you had together with Duke...he'll always be with you and that's what keep his memory alive. I'm sorry for your loss.
