The letters "F" & "G" were both hand cut from card stock. I painted, antiqued, and then sanded them for a distressed look. The journal booklet actually opens to reveal highlights from Cory's year in first grade. To make the booklet cover stiffer I secured a piece of cardstock behind the patterned paper. I then painted, antiqued, and sanded it to match the patterned paper.
Inside the booklet reads:
