My youngest son Cory's first grade photo.

The letters "F" & "G" were both hand cut from card stock. I painted, antiqued, and then sanded them for a distressed look. The journal booklet actually opens to reveal highlights from Cory's year in first grade. To make the booklet cover stiffer I secured a piece of cardstock behind the patterned paper. I then painted, antiqued, and sanded it to match the patterned paper.

Inside the booklet reads:

Richard "Cory" Fisher
Pleasant View Elementary
Age: 6
Teacher: Mrs. Barnes
Best Friends: Grant & Brandon
Favorite Subject: Recess
Favorite Lunch: Pizza
Sports: T-ball & Basketball
Milestone: Learned how to swim
