I did this lo for my daughter. Her boyfriend is a lineman for the power company and a firefighter. We had an ice storm last month and I was so worried about him. I think about bad weather in a different way now, he's always out. If we have a tornado warning everybody else is running in and he's running out.

The journaling reads: Before Jenna started dating Jarred I think I took having power for granted. I know I'd get irratated if it went out and stayed out for more than a few minutes. Well, now I see things differently. We had an ice storm last month, while we sat in the house nice and warm and dry, he was out all weekend fixing the power for other people. I asked him if it was really rough, and he just said "it's my job, it's not too bad." Basides being a lineman he puts his life on the line as a firefighter as well. Now when the power goes out, or I hear a siren I think about him and all the other everyday heroes.

I inked the edges of all the paper and used two punches for the top letters, inking each one. then for the "heroes" I just painted them with paint.
