For Mother's Day, my husband Jason held brunch for myself and three girlfriends whose husbands are deployed (along with the Alzheimer stricken mother of my BFF). He led his "troops" (all of our kids) and they served a gourmet brunch on our back porch complete with roses, place cards, music. My BFF JoBeth and I knew there was NO WAY we could compete, we racked our brains for a month, finally making him his favorite breakfast, buying him new furniture and making a huge banner, when you flip the photo, the journaling reads exactly as the banner read, "Jason is the best.... the best dad, husband, surrogate father, stand-in-father, friend, lover, dog trainer, emergency fix-it-guy, dog whisperer AND catcher, Mista Jayson, best granola bar maker :), best King Crab Boiler, best griller, best Van chooser, the best Juice babysitter, best club bouncer (he hit me in my head), best problem solver, best wrestler, best trampoline jumper, most patient, best long distance driver, best Miss Paulie checker-upper, best gift giver, best errand runner, best chauffer, best "girlfriend" (JB & Cav), best "4a.m-Taco-Bell-drive-thru-non-judgmental-of-huge-amount-of-food-guy, coolest MAJOR on the block (per Steven), loyal ballet recital attendee, best-all-around-surprise-planner-gift-giver-cool-guy, best psychologist, best level headed decision maker, best bad situation diffuser... WE CAN'T COMPETE, YOU ARE THE BEST!
