Well being the 'new kid on the block' I don't think my scrapbooking knowledge warrants an opinion. But from a mom's point of view (with now grown up kids)... it looks absolutely marvelous! I appreciate your sharing the fact that you question your own talents... I think we are all our own worst critics. Keep up the great work, and now maybe you can give me some hints on my post for advice on sunset lo.. ;)
At least I'm beginning to pick up on the lingo..
Good luck in your new place... God Bless.

Well then... I guess it stays the way it is. Thank you all sooo much for your input. Maybe I just needed to hear that from you all to convince myself that it was/is ok. I'm still questioning every LO I do and wondering if it makes the "scrapbooking" cut :-) I feel like I still have so much to learn and am absorbing from you all. Thanks for continuing to share your pearls of wisdom
Oh, I DID put an itty bitty piece of stick between the two pics at the bottom. Thanks "Myarrows".... it makes quite a difference. If time permits, I'll take a picture and repost. Now it's back to packing... including the LO!! Now I can finish packing up my scrap area... no scrapping until I'm moved in a week :-(... Bah humbug.
I don't think you over did it at all. The sweet photos still steal the show and are not overshadowed by the perectly appropriate embellishments. I really like this layout, Natalie!

I love it! I did look at it a couple of times and maybe just maybe you would want to add something small (very small) down at the bottom between the two pictures. My eye had a hard time following through down to the bottom of the page. But really I like it alot and it is a great lo just the way it is.......
I think it's great as it is. How could you possibly have too many pics of Bennie on one page??? There certainly aren't too many embellishments either and they tie in really well with the photos. Great LO!
I don't think it's too busy. But I like lots of pictures on one page so I may not be the best one to "critique". I like it just the way it is!

I like it just the way it is! My eyes are first drawn to the pictures because of the red shirt, but then I started oohing and aahing over the embellishment pieces.
It's beautiful and it's done -- what more could you ask for?
I have my camera back...wohoo!!! Took a packing break to take these pics cause the LO has been on the table for a few days and something about it is not exactly sittiing right with me but I can't figure out what it is. It looks like a color blocked LO (2 pgs) but it's not. I had these nifty embellishements that for some reason I just HAD to use and maybe that's the problem.... I tried to use ALL of them and maybe really shouldn't have?? They were just so appropriate though... IMHO. Anyhoo, I keep staring at it thinking I should do something "different"... maybe decrease the pics?? Maybe decrease the Embellishments. Maybe leave it as is?? Oh, the LO is off my son and his buddies on a nature trail (eating leaves and such) on the first nice day we had after a killer winter.
