Rileysmom06's August Doodle Challenge w/a twist beckoned me to take out my drawing pencils again. I cut out this picture in order to “doodle” in the blanks with pencil, then under the flap, I decided to use a b&w photo and use color pencils to surround it and make it pop more. I also doodled on the black border with an embossing pen/powder so it was subtle, but gave it a little texture. I bordered the journaling with a 3D white pen and made my own journaling template with my colored pencils. Lastly, I doodled the title (shown on the full layout).
Journaling reads: “If you stop to see the world through someone else’s eyes, you will soon see colors, textures, and places that you would have never found on your own.”
I actually feel this way about all the new layouts I encounter that has dimension I would have never seen before, or a color combo that I would have never thought of, or a innovative idea that just blows me away. That is the great thing about this ‘art’ – new techniques are discovered every day.
