I have a friend that suffers from depression in the winter because of the lack of light, and when I saw this quote I came up with the idea for this card that would be winter themed, but have more springy colors and papers so that I could mail it to her this winter and hopefully lift her spirits a little.
I really love how it turned out. I created the snowflake by using a flower stamp as my base and then just drew the snowflake swirls around the petal. I love the intricacy of the snowflake, but man it took forever to cut!!! I also embroidered the swirls in gold metallic floss, which was fun too.
