"Gearin' Up" Birthday card

My brother Marshall has a birthday coming up this month and since he is also mechanically inclined I went with another steampunk card. This time I used my best friend's gears die cut and machine. Papers are Hot Off The Press Steampunk paper pack. I also used one of her embossing plates for background in an all over diamond look. Inked over it a bit with TH Black Soot, as well as distressed the edges. Also inked the edges of the gears so they would stand out a bit.

Most of the "gizmos" on here were from Meggie's Nana (thank you Marylou for the contribution! :-) with the exception of the long metal pin, dress shirt collar clip, the aluminum shavings and washer on the far right gear. All the rest are from Marylou. So cool! Oh, and I used some bubble wrap by tapping it on the TH distress ink and stamping it here and there on the background paper and inside the card as well. Gives it a neat texture look. Also used a lot of little foam squares to lift the gears up.
