Hi Friends, I'm sharing a rustic birthday card I created for my grandsons birthday last year! I found a misplaced sd card and I feel like a kid on Christmas morning! lol Kept it sweet and simple. Using kraft cardstock as a base, I double framed the rustic wood papers to really make them pop. I roughed up all the edges and distressed the card inside and out with paint. Then I added ruled paper trim and used corrugated cardboard to pop up the latch. Inside I did a bit of zigzag sewing to frame up middle and split the happy birthday sentiment to the side panels. I've struggled for a while trying to find a 'style' that my youngest grandson likes and this was a huge hit! Thanks for dropping by, your comments always make my day! Hugs ~ Dawna
