In a wasted land where the dry bones lay,
on a cold, hard ground left to rot and decay.
In this valley of death, where they speak no more,
are the dreams of those who have walked before.

As a wind arose o're the valley of death,
one man of faith came in with breath.
He called forth life and they started stirring,
the bones and the flesh, to each other hurrying.
And as bones met flesh, once torn and shattered,
up rose lost dreams, both buried and scattered.

Stay not in the valley with the dead and dying,
but speak life, and with every breath, keep trying.
Reach down in faith where the dry bones lay,
then pick up your dreams...
and walk away.

Ezekial 37:3 "O ye dry bones..."

I wrote this in 2005 after being sick for over fifteen months. A friend of mine said to me, "I never doubted that you would not make it." He had faith, and God still had faith in me, when I had almost none left. I pray this will help someone to find some hope when they are in the valley of dry bones, and keep praying for those we love, when they are too tired to help themselves. Thanks to all those who were there for me when I needed it. In His Love, Kate
