This was supposed to be a quiet family walk, feeding ducks and swans. It was such a shock to see so many snakes, lizards and things in the wetlands centre, especially as many were out and being handled by people. It was a bigger shock when the man in charge just dropped the python around my seven yr old’s neck - no discussion or reassurance (I think he thought we were queuing up for a "go"!)
