JOURNAL: I had the speech pathologist pre-appointment at noon today and filled out paperwork for Cameron’s visit on Thursday of this week. The woman watched Cameron eat and noticed that he seems to have hyposensitivity issues where he’s overstuffing his mouth with food, not chewing appropriately, and relying on his saliva to break down food instead of breaking it up by chewing. She thinks that this is why he gags and spits out food a lot of times: he’s not realizing that the food is too big to swallow until it gets to the back of his throat.
After I fed us all lunch, Michelle and I tried to take the boys for a walk but it was way too windy out. Our strollers were almost knocked over by the wind! We decided to turn around and go back to our house for Liam and Cameron to have a chance to play and for Michelle and I to get a chance to hang out for a bit. Evan fell asleep on our short walk and took a marathon nap! Cameron on the other hand refused to take a nap after Liam left. He gets so wound up by activities it’s hard to get him to settle down once his normal routine is interrupted.
I gave Evan a piece of banana in this plastic nipple-like thing that allows the banana to mush out of the sides. He LOVED it! He was so proud of himself and so excited to eat on his own. It was so adorable.
