This is the result of Pammy's Seeing Stars challenge coupled with a challenge to document a compliment. Ya know, it's amazing to me that the only AAM pages I've ever done were the result of challenges like this one. It's so easy to scrap others, but I always need that extra push to actually document something about myself! LOL! Super simple design here!

Journaling:
I am a mommy. A mother of two with another on the way to be exact. I've been pooped on, puked on, bit, pinched, scratched, hair pulled, and my kids treat my shirt like a kleenex. I clean mysterious substances from our carpet and change diapers of toxic proportions. To state the obvious, it's not a very glamorous job. Most days it's an accomplishment just making it out of the house with matching shoes and unstained clothing. So as I got ready for Joe's black-tie reception tonight, I was taken back by the foreign words that came out of my husband's mouth, the first of which was breathtaking, followed closely by “stunning”. Huh? Surely he can't be talking about ME! So I asked him and strangely enough it turned out he was. Later that night, as he was called up to receive the Rookie of the Year award, I was surprised once again when they called me up as well, handed me a huge bouquet of flowers and took our photo. In that brief moment in time, I felt like a princess. And as I sat down, my husband started his acceptance speech so eloquently giving all Glory to God. He then turned to me and thanked me for what I’ve done in his life. Me. The run-down mother who uses the words “stinky pants” in daily conversation. It was then I realized that no matter what I do or how I dress, in Joe’s eyes, I AM a princess. His princess. The mother of his children. And there’s nothing else I’d rather be. JANUARY 19, 2007
