This is a ceramic that my Momma painted for me in rehab. She had her first stroke in 1975, when i was 9 months old. This stroke left her paralyzed on her right side and speech impaired. Even though she couldn't do everything other Mom's could, I loved her more than anything. She had her second stroke when I was 12. She was still able to clean house, hang clothes on the line and most anything that anyone else could. In 2003, she was ironing my Dad's work clothes and tripped. She broke her hip. She came home a week before I had my youngest, Chance. My dad & I worked with her for months getting her to walk again. She could take a few steps, but finally gave up. Even though she is in a wheelchair now, she still does most of the house work. My mother is one of the most important people in my life. TFL!
