Made this layout for the first SCRAPFAITH challenge (http://scrapfaith.blogspot.com). The challenge was to scrap the roots of your faith or where it started in your family. I used the amazing Creative Imaginations line featured in the September CMK kit. I love the black and cream shades and how classic this line looks.

Hidden Journaling reads: My grandmother was born in Scotland. Her father passed away when she was 10 years old and the family was forced to move to Ireland, a country torn with religious conflict. The docks of the North Sea were a free speech forum where preachers and missionaries could openly preach. When Granny was 11 years old her older sisters began going down to the docks to hear the Mormon missionaries teach about the gospel. Soon they were invited to go to church. They knew their mother would never approve, especially with all of the prejudice that existed towards the Mormons. They began to sneak into town on Sundays and attend church wit the missionaries. Christmastime came and so did Granny’s 12th birthday on December 23rd. As she lay in bed that night she heard a song she had never heard before, Far Far Away on Judea’s Plains, being caroled by the Missionaries outside of her window. She felt the Spirit touch her heart. She decided to go with her sisters to the Latter Day Saint church services. They snuck into town together to attend services. When Granny entered the church building she heard a voice in her mind say Isobel, this is God’s church. And she knew. She knew that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the true church. She knew she wanted to live the gospel. She knew her life would be different. From that moment on she lived the standards of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the best of her abilities, although she was not able to be baptized until after she was married. Her influence and testimony has impacted the life of my mother and my life. She created a legacy of faith that carried through the generations and now…I know. I know for myself that this is God’s church.
