I stitched around the CS and PP. I made a pockethttp://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/176543/view/1245873/-1/0/1.html on the left side under the 1st paper. I also stitched the dog bone tag with her name.
She's only been gone 9 months and these were te last pictues taken of her, so the journaling was tough. It felt like I had to tell everything about her in it.
I finally did the journaling on the tag... i didn't really write what's in the parenthesis, those are just my explanations! it reads:
What I miss about Alee
Petting her (I have a repeated dream where she runs to me and all I do is put her the whole dream.. but when I wake up, I feel like I actually got to pet her)
Her nose (I loved her nose! lol, as she got older, parts of it were turning grey, so I told her I was going to fill it in with a sharpie)
Talking in Alee talk (I know I'm not the only one that talks AS their dog, lol. In Alee language, she made most of her words past tense.... like instead of "I already knew that"... it would be "I knewed it already")
Seeing you lay in an "S" (She would lay to where her body would almost be in the shape of an S... didn't look comfy, but she laid like that a lot, so it had to be for her!)
Nudging our arms at the dinner table so we'd pet her (She'd put her nose under our arm and lift... it always worked too!)
Your cold nose waiting for us when we got home (I told you I loved her nose! Whenever we'd open the door, she'd be right there, pushing her nose to open the screen and welcome us home)
Not getting to go camping with her (We camp at the beach every year, for a week at a time, and she LOVED going.. she didn't go on many walks at home cause she wouldn't walk far... an airedale, the same breed she is.. used to live down the street, since they moved, in probably '97... she wouldn't walk past their house, she'd just stop. At the beach she got to go on lots of walks, meet other dogs, and best of all, got to lay on the couch in the motorhome!)
Running through the backyard doing laps (After doing her business, she'd just start running... she'd do 4 or 5 laps as fast as she could around the backyard.)
Your beard being soaked after a drink of water (You always knew when she got a drink of water... because there would be a trail of water leading to where she was!)
Sleeping under the dining room table on holidays (On holdidays she would sleep under the dining room table as we all ate..)
When you'd see your leash and go CRAZY (Whether it was seeing it or hearing the hook on it, she knew she was going outside.. she'd pull you to the front door)
You loved going to see Dr. Novy (She LOVED going to the vet... and sadly had to way too much.. The back window of the car would be filthy from her nose, lol, of course that was if it wasn't down and she was hanging out of it!)
I miss getting to hug you and see you
Most of all, I just miss YOU!
I ran out of room, so on the back it says
You had a tough doggie life, medical wise. So if you are in heaven and not in anymore pain, that's all i could wish for. I know you're with Gracee & Papa watching over all of us. I know we'll get to see you again someday. I'll be missing you until then.
