Looking back on your almost 2 years of life,
I consider you (and us!) pretty lucky that you’ve
only had the flu once! The third weekend in
February, 2005, we put you in bed just like
normal, and we settled down to watch a
movie. You woke up around 10 with a
different type of cry. Scott went upstairs
to find you covered and your bed covered in
what used to be your dinner. I was
immediately thankful that we have a washer
and dryer! That weekend you were so
different than your normal self. You did a
lot of laying around, and didn’t have your
normal energy level. One good thing about you
being sick was that you liked me holding and
snuggling you. At some point in that weekend,
we sat you on the floor and put on your
favorite movie... Finding Nemo. We also gave
you a few Chex because that was the only
thing you would eat! We came back downstairs
just a few minutes later to find you like this...
using your frog as a pillow, and Chex clutched
in your hand. You were sleeping so peacefully,
and you hardly ever fall asleep anywhere but
in your bed, so you were extra cute zonked out
on your makeshift pillow. You did so well, and
were such a joy to give a little extra TLC to.
Thank goodness you were back to your
energetic and fun self just a few days later!
