When I got married. Large letters on bottom of page reads "Love, Life Laughter", you cant really see them, I cant take good pictures.

Journaling is a letter I wrote in memory of my mother who we lost to cancer in 1997.
It reads: Moma, I cannot express how much I miss you. All of us miss you so much. Sometimes I feel like we were cheated because God did not allow you to stay here with us until you were of a very old age, and didn’t get to see some of your grandchildren and great grandchildren. I even envy some people who still have both of their parents at the age of eighty, and we don’t have one. But when I really think about it, I am so grateful and happy for just having had you as our Mother. You went home to Glory at the age of 59, but God truly Blessed us with you. The years we had with you we created a lifetime of memories that no one can ever take away from us. In spite of not having much and lacking financial prosperity, I can truly say that we were a happy family and one that knew lots of love, and that was very important. Thank you for teaching us that. Most of all thank you for teaching us about the Lord, and to always depend on him and never stop serving him. I think that’s the main thing that all of my sisters and brothers would say about you. We have comfort in knowing that you are with God now, because of how you lived and how much you trusted in him. We know that with all of the children you raised, if it had not been for God on your side, we would not have made it. I even remember Pastor Robinson saying that even on your sick bed you continued to have such a strong Faith in God like he has never seen. No one is perfect but God, and we know that. But he sure made you look like you were perfect to us. We adore you so much and speak so proudly about you as our Moma. We laugh, we cry, we rejoice, and we celebrate, when we think of you Moma! You would be proud and we can see you smiling! Your famous words to us were “Treat people how you wish to be treated”. You did that with such grace, and when you passed, the community really showed up for you, to honor you, and we know that it was because of how you treated people and how you lived your life while here on earth. So although it really hurts us so much at time not being able to call you, talk to you, kiss you, hug your neck, or have family get togethers with you there laughing and singing, we know that you are in a much better place and we’ll see you again someday if we live our life the way you taught us and the way that you did.

I Love You Moma and Miss You With All of My Heart!!!!
