This is so amazing! The only way I could get that reflection on my page is by actually attaching mirrors. You did a great job and I am glad you shared with us!
Soooooo cute - love the border - you did a great job creating the reflection - I think I have that same book (shows penguins skating on ice, I think) Anyway - you did goooooood! To my faves!
Wow, this is absolutely gorgeous, the landscape, the pond with the reflections in it, the glitter, the ribbon, the design, ... I love it all. Definitely into my favorites!!! What an awesome job, I would love to be able to do that. Are there any books on learning how to scrap and techniques you could recommend me? xxx Peggy
This is one of the pages that goes into my 12x12 annual Christmas album. I tried something new I saw in my "Scrapbook Borders, Corners & Titles" book by Memory Makers - I used stickers and blue vellum to make a landscape of hills and trees and houses and a frozen pond with reflections in it - it was fun to make but took a LONG time (layers of glitter glue drying, etc).
The tag sized photos are of my grandparents' back yard and birds in the feeder in Christmas of 2005 - the larger photo is of me and my grandpa in front of a beautiful tree covered in ice.
I did a LOT of inking on this page, especially on the edges of most items and I also stamped the tags with 2 different blue colored lacy snowflakes before I put the photos on. I was really stepping out of my box when making this page (by spending so much time and effort on such a large banner), but I think it is good to stretch! :-)
The journaling tags list the reasons I like to travel north in the winter and the reasons I don't: *Blankets of snow in the yard and ice-covered branches on the trees remind me of the many winters I spent growing up in Michigan *I feel wonderful when I visit with my family *I feel trapped inside a stuffy house *I love the feel of the fireplace warming my back as I sit on the hearth *I feel clumsy each time I have to cross the icy walks or have to climb into a frosty car *When I think about the winter, I can identify with both the good and the bad components, because those things are what I knew growing up - they are a part of me *Overall, I would have to say that Michigan in the winter season is truly a Winter Wonderland
