love your color choices, I would be so tempted to go baby blue, but this works so well with the skin tones and other elements in the photos, takes the eye right to baby's face.
This is a truely priceless page, I like the way you did the numbers for i.d.s on the pics, but the subject matter is so touching, (was his dad in a demo derby? top left photo?)
love the stamped title, and how you turned the entire photo block on a bit of an angle, adds a fun youthful touch to the layout, making a mental note of this idea.
This is gorgeous! I love the scribbled edges of the photo. You did a wonderful job on the stamping/embossing - that is something I've never attempted before.
This is nice KatieJo - I love the paper and the books on the right. Colors are good and I like the way the matt works into the design. Even the "Congratulations" goes with the layout well.
What a great page! All the lettering is wonderful - I love the hearts in the circles.
This page really came together. I love the way you did the word "family".
I love how the color photo becomes the focus of the layout. You used tons of other pictures, but with this technique it doesn't look crowded at all. I'm going to have to try this on some of my LO's.
Love this one. "Wheels" is a great title and I love the matting and the angle of the photos. The paper is perfect - would love to find that paper. The quote is dead on target! I love that quote - so perfect for this layout!
This is a page intended to be included in my nephew's graduation album.
As soon as I decided I was going to do a baby pics page, I thought of course... orange, green, brown, and copper... J/K. They just seemed to match the photos. I was little surprised at how many copperish elements I have in my stash. So, it turned out well.
I tore the upper and lower sheets a of paper and attached all the papers to a back sheet. I punched the smaller corners circles out with a basic paper punch and cut the bigger ones by hand after using a template to draw them. Then I inked them and heat embossed them (had to use pins so as to not blow them away in the process). The border frame was made with another template and a gel pen. It didn't turn out so perfectly... but not too bad either. The title was a very happy mistake. (I'm good at scrapping with mistakes since I make so many of them.) Anyway, I decided I didn't like the coloring of the white stickers I had for this, but I really like the style. I decided I would try inking them green. That came out all splotchy. So I figured maybe just edging them in brown also would... couldn't make them worse anyway. The end result came out accidentally looking almost identical to copper patina. I then completed the look with captions in the same color (had to manually select it on my computer but they match pretty well I think).
