What a beautiful tribute to your sons' own unique qualities. Love your title and your awesome journaling here. Love the beautiful colors too. Great picture of them.
Oh I didn't know our children are almost the same ages, (15 and 12) but I have girls and it is truely amazing how differnt they can be. I love it though! Very touching journaling and great layout!
Oh, this is so cool! Your sweet journaling to your boys brought tears to my eyes. It is no small thing in this day and age to see parents who stress strong character and good values for their kids. You and Scott have given your boys a safe place to be who God made them to be! I love how you used the binding edge punch and the negative space title. Clever and very creative....as always!!
This is wonderful!! Your jouranling is very touching and one day may even bring a tear to THEIR eyes!!! (and stop using those big words... hehehe... I had to look up loquacious ... and I LIKE that word.... hehe!) Wonderful, wonderful page!!!
For being night and day, they sure look like brothers! This is a fantastic design Lori. I just love all the little details that bring it all together so beautifully!
Adorable layout and sentiments Lori, I just love this. the cut outs are so good and suit this page beautifully, you have really done a great job with this, the boys will love this when they get older.
Wow!! this is wonderful! i love the colors and awesome pic of your boys- your journaling is great and all the detail, amazing!!! You chose the perfect bg pp and the way you did the title is very eye catching!!
Your journaling is absolutely beautiful Lori! What a wonderful tribute to your boys. I love that you recognize that they are both different individuals. Wonderful LO!
Wow! Great details! Love that border punch and those large photo corners. And your journaling is great...my children are all different, and it seems like the grandchildren are going to follow the same way...my eldest grandson is very quiet and shy, and the middle one, Orion, is a terrorist!
Well, the journaling brought a tear to my eye!!! It is amazing how our children each have their own special personalities but yet connect in so many ways. I love the photo and the stars are a very special touch to this lo. Ginger
This is just beautiful and your journaling is very touching, Love the blue and yellow illustrating night and day.
Now for the coinkydink..I was just sitting here laboring over a layout on my 2 dds called...you guessed it...Night and Day. That is so weird. Some of your discriptions of your boys actually fit my girls. I can't find a pp or embellies I like yet so I probably won't finish it yet but I just had to mention.....great minds think alike.
Beautiful design and what nice looking boys. When reading the journaling I thought I was reading about my two sons. The descriptions fit then perfectly.
You always do the best journaling- fantastic job! This is an awesome layout- I love the colors/pp's- they really pop! Love the title work and all the little stars and flourishes, too!
Hey Lori, I love how you took a seemingly busy pp and turned it into a masterpiece! The picture and embellies you used contrasted nicely with your background. And ditto on the title and journaling... perfection!
Sneaky hey!!! I just love your journaling more than anything..so heartfelt!! This is a great photo of both Michael and Will and I love what you did here Lori!! Love how you did the "night" and "day" title, great paper and the lovely swirls with the stars! Just beautiful my friend!!
Wow! The journaling here is so incredibly touching and heartfelt! Your boys are so lucky to have a mom like you! Love how you darkened the paper on the 'night' side and I love the concept of the whole layout! It's a great pic of your boys and I love how you put the flourishes on the photo...gorgeous! I trust that Michael is sleeping better these days...LOL!
Great LO, from the heart. They look very placid, amd meek. luv the journalling. You will have to do another lo, so they each have a copy. Luv the paper. Well Done. x x.
My girls couldn't be more different too!!!! You have great kids and they are lucky to have you as a mom!! You have made an awesome page with such heartwarming journaling!!!! xxx
Love your work, it´s so beautiful lo. Wish I had a cricut and one day I will :) Love your journal, it´s so heartfelt and a good for your cute boys to read. They must be a lot like their mother - because I think she has a heart of gold too :)
Lori this is so heartfelt, and such a special message to your boys and I love it! Love the star flourishes with their initials. The star centres look like brads but go so well with the background, and the repeating terracotta colour works so well - great lo!
Lori what a beautiful lo... Your journaling is so heartfelt , I love your design I just love that punch and your title work is so amazing. absolutely a favorite. Fabulous work here!!!
This is wonderful! I love how you did your title then bordered it with the leftovers from your punch. The stars with their initials is a great touch! The pp is really cool! I also love your journaling. You have a wonderful talent with writing!!
These fine young gentlemen are my sons, Michael (then 16) and Will (then 12). It's amazing how different siblings can be, but they both share some wonderful qualities. They have hearts of gold and I am so blessed to have them! I created this LO so that they know how I see them from my perspective.
Journaling, if interested, reads:
"My boys - like night and day!
Michael, you are a quiet soul. You are an avid reader. You are meticulous and artistic. You do not like sports. You prefer staying indoors. You follow the beat of a different drum. You are definitely your own person.
Will, you are a loquacious and spunky person. You are not an avid reader. You like to get things done quickly. You love sports. You love the outdoors. You are sometimes swayed by designer brand items. You love to be with people.
But, you also share certain qualities. Both of you are loving, affectionate. caring, charismatic and very, very intelligent young men. You have a heart of gold. You have enriched my life immeasurably and, as a result, I have become a better person. Words simply cannot describe just how much I love you. Always remember that."
